Five or Less

"If we encountered
a man of rare intellect,
we should ask him
what books he read."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

What are you reading?

1. Audition by Barbara Walters. Not deep but interesting!
2. Home by Julie Andrews. Excellent book, she's a great story-teller. She did NOT have a normal childhood.
3. The Girl Who Has no Shadow. Sequel to Chocolat. Good story!
4. The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted. Elizabeth Berg (I think). Great short stories--it'll be coming your way soon.
And you?

You keep throwing out these innocent appearing questions that I can’t rest until I answer.

(1) The Bible.

(2) Any commentaries in support or opposed to the Bible – this includes Gnostic gospels. If I listed all the ones I am presently reading, it would be considerably more than five.

(3) An archeological report on the second temple in Jerusalem. Sounds dull, but it could be the next Indiana Jones movie.

(4) ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS. (What can I say? I was deprived as a child.)

(5) a play entitled ALYCE TIMES ONE. If your readers haven’t caught this one yet, I’d highly recommend it.

I read very little fiction. Last fiction book I read was THE DE VINCI CODE, and laughed my way through from beginning to end. I also read a lot of biographies and histories, but you asked what I’m reading at the moment.
