The Light

Forgiven by Stacey Lee Christian
I found some really beautiful work on this site so I wanted to pass it along to you. I remember once wondering what kind of work would I produce as a Christian, and dreaded the thought of being limited to one book to draw from. They clearly think outside the box.
What do you feel looking at this one?

Ain't Grandma's Religious

This extensive body of work showed at one of the Christian galleries in Philadelphia and now He has a web site. I love the bright colors. I'd proudly hang one of these in my funky house.

Check it out at this link: He Qi

If you're into quirky art, you might want to check out this site by clicking on the link below. It is really
different looking and reminds me of
Shel Silverstein....

I'd be curious to know
what you think...

Remembering

I've been looking at various types of artwork lately. I don't know if it means I will get back into drawing, or painting myself. I seem to spend a lot of time cutting wood lately.
But this week, I'll be posting interesting abstractions. What images come to you? What thoughts? If you want, you can tell me what you feel when you look at them, starting with this one...

Expose Yourself to Art

The Daily Muse that never fails to a-muse me in some way. This one really got me thinking because us it's so reminiscent of Post Secret.
Thanks to Nikki for her unfailing daily content that often inspires, always informs and hasn't been the same thing twice. Maybe you'de like to be part of an art project? If so check it out...

Sign up for the Art House "Stuff Your Sorries in a Sack" project and kiss your regrets goodbye. If you register in time, you'll get one of the 500 little sacks they're sending out that they want filled with things that you need to let go of. They'll display the sacks at a reception at their Atlanta gallery on October 24 and let people experience what you have moved on from. Sign up deadline is September 15 and the entry fee is $14.00. Read more about it on their web site.

I Hit a Homer

Isn't that
what you'd say if
you crashed
into this
little beauty?
No, I don't have a Homer fixation...

If You Look Around...

Just when you think you've seen it all, there is always something you haven't seen before.
I wouldn't mind having this in my driveway.

I Googled it and found this Art Car Blog. Check it out. I could blow a whole day here. Why don't we see art car cruise ins with these kinds of creative people?

Now What?

Have you seen these cars? I have been to many shows and festivals, out west, down south and even up north, but not until I landed in Columbus Ohio had I ever see the "toy covered cars." It looks like someone sped through a Mc Donalds Happy Meal toy collector's when the car was covered with glue.

I happen to know one lady (I think she goes by Ramona Moon) at one time had two such cars, and maybe her significant other had started one? Don't quote me, that last part is pretty fuzzy. I wasn't sure if either of these were hers.

This particular shot is two of the three of cars I saw. This photo is slighty cartoonified to show the color.

What do you think of them? What's the stranges "creative thing" you've seen?

Masterpiece

This little pixie will always be one of my favorite
masterpieces.What's not to love?

A Very Fine Work of Art
